Fresh, woody, and intensely aromatic with a hint of citrus and licorice, it has been used by shamans in sacred rituals and by Ecuadorian families to perfume and cleanse their homes for generations. Rich in limonene and alpha-terpineol, it is a botanical cousin to Frankincense and Myrrh, sharing their deep spiritual and cleansing energy. The oil is found only in the interior of the trunk and can take up to 10 years to develop.
